The
Ada Nkwerre is a style and beauty pageant. The
two–in-one show bumper redefines beauty pageantry. The show is deeply flavoured
with Nkwerre’s finest values. The cultural content reflects the new African
thinking and approach to beauty pageant.
The
cooking competition as a competitive segment of the pageant not only
celebrates the Nkwerre of the new idea, but illuminates that African line of
thought that the beauty of a woman transcends beyond the physical. Beauty
with responsibility especially in home making and upkeep is espoused as the
virtue of an Nkwerre woman.

In
the fashion and beauty competitions you either have a straight beauty pageant
or a style and modeling competition. Ours is different because it combines the
features of the two to form one single dose of entertainment extravaganza.
There is fashion, beauty, music, Comedy, glamour and all the razzmatazz of
entertainment.

The
contestants as mothers of the future are revered. In spite of their
differences in communities, religion, traditions and manners, the package
offers them the platform to show their unknown beauty and talents, unite their
hearts as "Ambassadors of Peace”. Through the pageant they are
expected to expand their friendship network, improve by acting together, as
well as deepen their mutual exchange.

Nkwerre being a Land
with abundant rich Cultural Heritage such as: Language, Marriage rites, Burial
rites, Birth rites, Dressing, Greetings, Music and Folklore as well as
other Cultural Monuments, Natural Sites and Cultural Landscapes, that
are scattered within the border Naturalization. It is lamentable to
observe that some of these Cultures have died, due to Western Cultural
influence and therefore needed to be revitalized by the good people of Nkwerre. Furthermore,
there is serious lack of Co-ordination of Nkwerre Cultural Heritage between the
Local Government and the State Ministry of cultural. Many Nkwerreans are
not even aware of the Nkwerrean Culture due to the fact that Cultural Knowledge
and Practice are more or less forgotten by our Now generation.
The Igbo cultures are not included in
the school Educational Curricula. Likewise our Libraries and Information
Science in the Local government are grossly inadequate of Resources in
terms of: Steady Power Supply, Computer Literacy, and Cultural Website etc.
Considering the uncertainty of the effect of Globalization of Nigerian’s
Cultural Heritage as a unifying factor or further widening of the Ethnic
Cultural diversities. The only option left is to pursue the present course
of emphasis along Community Groupings. Therefore in the absence of
Globalization and Internet which would otherwise, allows Cultural Heritage of
different dialects in Igbo language to be uploaded, downloaded and
accessed by other people. The only option left is to project the Cultural
Identity of Nkwerre via: The Nkwerre Heritage Awards & Ada
Nkwerre Cultural Beauty Pageant, where knowledgeable demonstration of the different
traditions, Community cultures are competitively showcased and by
extension serves as a source of revitalizing our divergent Cultural Heritage
for Nkwerre Unity & Identity.

Uod na Oganihu Nkwerre Initiative was conceptualized by its Initiator to promote the Nkwerre cultural heritage It is intended to showcase the positive and beneficial aspects of igbo/Nkwerre cultural heritage outside what is portrayed in most international media as a continent bedeviled with famine, deadly diseases, natural disasters, political instabilities, economic profligacy and dependence. In spite of the foregoing negativity, Igbos has a very rich heritage and culture that could be articulated and propagated to the outside world.

To uphold the Nkwerre cohesion through Heritage development and Cultural re-invigoration in our Youths, and as a platform for patriotism emphasizing royalty, beauty, style and cultural appreciation, the Ada Nkwerre Cultural Beauty Pageant is a personal development opportunity for young women from Nkwerre. The delegates who become part of Ada Nkwerre Cultural Beauty Pageant gain confidence and poise in an increasing competitive world. The pageant affords each delegate to grow and advance her personal and career goals while acting as a role model in her community.
VISION
To consolidate on the rich Culture and Heritage of Nkwerre to achieve total integration of our people, as a panacea for Community development and growth, unity and investment for the Ada Nkwerre Cultural Beauty Pageant to be recognized as the premiere pageant of the future of royalty in beauty pageant competition for young women of Nkwerre LGA. As such, The Ada Nkwerre Cultural Beauty Pageant will be a vehicle for personal development and promotion of Nkwerre cultural appreciation.

The Ada Nkwerre Cultural Pageant will serve as a vehicle to promote our cultural values in terms of modeling in traditional African attire, showcasing knowledgeable demonstration of the cultural Heritage of various Igbo style of dressing and propagating Community Re-orientation for self and Community Development.
NKWERRE HERITAGE AWARDS
The award will be a medium to
appreciate and celebrate individuals, and organizations that has distinguished
themselves and shown visible and appreciable support for the growth and
development of Nkwerre Local Government Area and Nkwerre culture. There shall
be scholarships awards inaugurated to give recognition to scholars and
educational
institutions that uniquely promote and develop research and study of African heritage and culture. Special sessions, will be given to a prominent guest speaker, who must be a visible promoter and achiever on African culture and heritage to give a speech. The various categories of awards are:

This is an award given to an Nkwerre man that has contributed significantly to youth development and cultural heritage promotion.

4. Nkwerre Heritage Awards: Royalty 2016
This is an award that will be given to a Traditional Ruler who has promoted our cultural heritage and sustained attraction of tourism to Nkwerre L.G.A. This is a way to reward services and leadership focused on promoting our culture and heritage.
5. Nkwerre Heritage Awards: Sports Man 2016
This is an award that will be given to an Nkwerre sports men/women for various African heritage appreciation and have been empowered through sports.
6. Nkwerre Heritage Awards: Humanitarian 2016
This is an award that will be given to individuals that have contributed to humanitarian activities at various levels in Nkwerre.
7. Nkwerre Heritage Awards: Entertainment Personality Award 2016
This is an award that will be given to an actor/actress, musician of Nkwerre origin that have use his/her talent to celebrate Igbo culture and Nkwerre in particular
8. Nkwerre Heritage Awards: Peace Ambassador 2016
This is an award that will be given to Nkwerre Person that have contributed to and encourage peaceful co-existent in Nkwerre LGA
9. Nkwerre Heritage Awards: Life-time 2016
This award is to appreciate living Nkwerre sons and daughters that has been of great impact and advantage to Nkwerre indigenes and humanity in general.
10. Nkwerre Heritage Awards: Post-Humors
This award is to appreciate late Nkwerre sons and daughters that left a remarkable foot-print during their life-time

This award is to appreciate and encourage outstanding performance of the village presidents.

This award is to appreciate and encourage outstanding performance of the village presidents.

This is an awards that will be given to the best association or groups in terms of developments in Nkwerre.
Ada Nkwerre Cultural Beauty Pageant, is an Nkwerre LGA beauty pageant for women from all the six autonomous
communities who are from 18 - 25 years of age and bold enough to portray the Nkwerrean
culture where ver they find themselves.
ADA NkwerreTo showcase Ibo Beauty, that will serve as a vehicle for personal development and promotion of Nkwerre cultural appreciation. Contestants shall be evaluated on their intelligence, physical appearance, com-portability, fashion and style with focus on Nkwerre Cultural promotion. Winners will be exposed to a career in modeling and pageantry. She will be able to instill the values and knowledge of our cultural heritage in her everyday life. She will also go for talk shows and campaigns to promote Nkwerre heritage and culture and she would also exhibit our rich cultural heritage to the outside world during their cultural events.
